Biz Markie Tribe Video

@v_i_s_i_o_n_a_r_y and I had the incredible opportunity to capture the Biz Markie tribute event in Marcus Garvey Park at the end of August. The park holds a special place in my heart, as I performed there in 2015, just months before I became a father. During that performance, I felt my father’s presence and channeled his energy.

But back to the tribute event – we were there to honor the legendary Biz Markie, whose beatboxing charisma has touched countless lives. We even had the privilege of meeting The Last Poets and reuniting with old friends, all while paying tribute to Biz Markie’s legacy. Special thanks to Self Suffice and @rapoet for inviting us to be part of this memorable event.

My son got to experience the magic of Hip-Hop in the heart of Harlem, and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. It’s been a while, but I’m excited to finally share this video with you as a post and not as many short stories. Stay tuned for more adventures and videos from our September adventures, and don’t forget to join us for some fantastic events at Mystical Music in the Lower East Side. Check out our website for more info. See you soon! 🎶✨

Sorry if you didn't get to join us for a day of fun, games, and community bonding at the Little Flower Playground in the Lower East Side.

I was super excited to DJ/host the annual Family Day event with LaGuardia Housing president Danette Chavis. (AKA Emcee Dee)

We received an award certificate from Councilman Christopher Marte and would have loved to see you there as well.

Make sure you frequent our NOW page or follow us on social media for"in-the-moment" updates so you don't miss a beat.
